Avon, Indiana is teeming with options for amateur sports enthusiasts.  The Avon Softball Park, located just off Rockville Road, hosts numerous adult slow-pitch softball leagues, along with youth and adult tournaments.  For more info on signing up for the upcoming spring leagues, check out their website.

Youth soccer is served at the Fusion Soccer Academy, where kids of all ages and level of competition can learn the intricacies of the world’s most popular game.  The Academy boasts professionally licensed coaches, with its mission being to cultivate player development through age-appropriate training as the kids progress through the FSA program.  And for all your soccer related apparel needs, Avon Sports Apparel has been serving the Indy area since 1984.  You can visit their store on Rockville Road, or if you want to stay in the comfort of your own home, check out their website for all your ordering needs.

 

The Monster Mini Golf complex came to Avon in 2009, and has already made a name for itself as the most unique place for Hoosiers to play mini golf in the state of Indiana.  The 18-hole indoor course is a glow-in-the-dark, monster themed complex that provides fun for the entire family.  In addition to mini golf, there’s an arcade for the children to play in, as well as an entertaining in-house DJ.

If you’re looking to join a country club in Avon, look no further than Prestwick Country Club.  Founded in 1974, Prestwick has hosted numerous tournaments, including the Indiana Men’s State Open, Indiana Women’s State Open, Indianapolis Open, Indiana State Amateur, Indiana Match Play Championship, and the Boy’s and Girl’s IHSAA State Championships.  Set on 240 acres of scenic landscape, Prestwick membership dues average about $3,000 yearly.

If you prefer golf to be played with a disc instead of clubs and balls, the Avon Town Park Disc Golf course is a scenic and challenging course to play in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
