Gerald Botzum: Award-Winning Avon Artist

Gerald Botzum was born in Indianapolis, but resides in Avon, Indiana these days. This award-winning artist works out of his studio above his home, but he often travels to paint the most beautiful landscapes of the world in locales such as the tropics, France, England, Spain and Italy. His first love in plein air painting, however, would be the lush and simple landscapes of home.

While Gerald “Jerry” Botzum has produced an incredible number of landscapes, he has also made his mark in the Avon art scene with still lifes, portraits and figures, as well as florals and print media. He is a master of all kinds of artistic media, from oils to pastels to watercolors.

Gerald Botzum holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree from Purdue University and a Doctorate from Indiana University.
