The Avon Perennial Gardens offer five acres of expertly landscaped trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. When weather permits, the location hosts “Music in The Gardens” in the new outdoor garden pavilion.  These Avon events feature live bands and Indianapolis music acts, food, drink, and a constant stream of people.

The pavilion is also available for special events and family get-togethers.  Several plant experts on staff can help you determine which exhibits may work best for your own project at home.  You may also stop in at the retail area for a live specimen from your travels in Avon.

Town Hall Park in Avon IndianaTown Hall Park comprises 70 acres of prairies, lakes and wetlands.  Several animals and forms of vegetation thrive in the area, and the many walking trails allow you an up-close and personal view.  Picnic tables and playground areas provide a day of fun for Avon kids and adults alike.  This location also houses the famous 18-hole Frisbee Disc Golf Course for a memorable and friendly game of Avon sports!

Washington Township Community Park opened in 1989, and boasts more than 100,000 visitors annually.  2.5 miles of walking and mountain biking trails, 75 acres of horseshoe pits, playgrounds, and basketball and volleyball courts cater to the most adventurous spirits.  Fishing enthusiasts also appreciate the 2.5-acre stocked pond.  Every September, this haven of Avon parks and recreation hosts the Avon Community Heritage Fest for fun, food and drink for visitors and residents alike.

 

If the wide and open terrain doesn’t particularly excite you, the Avon Recreation Center offers plenty of indoor fun for everyone.  Here you will find batting cages, mini golf, a driving range, water bumper cars, sprint cars and go-karts.
